Raul Meireles in West Ham United for 6 million?
West Ham have been linked with a € 6 million move for Fenerbahce midfielder Raul Meireles, according to Turkish media

The Yellow Canaries are reported to be open to offers for the Portuguese international in an attempt to reduce the wage bill following the arrival of Diego Ribas.

Meireles is currently earning € 3 million per-season but still has two-years left on his contract.

The Hammers have been keeping tabs on the experienced midfielder and manager Sam Allardyce is known to be an admirer of the 31-year-old.

Meireles has experience playing in the Premier League.

The Portuguese international won the PFA Fans' Player of the Year in 2011 during his time playing at Liverpool and went on to help Chelsea lift the Champions League and win the FA Cup.

The 31-year-old joined Fenerbahce from Chelsea for € 10 million and has won two Turkish Cups as well as the league title.

Meireles featured in Portugal's unsuccessful World Cup 2014 team but played an important role in Fenerbahce's championship winning season.
