Edoardo Reja new coach of Lazio!
Vladimir Petkovic is no longer coach of Lazio. Decided that today President of the Club of Rome, Claudio Lotito
Lotito without announcement decided to give fired coach because the club allegedly was not informed that Vladimir Petkovic is in negotiating with the Swiss Football Association about taking over the bench of the Swiss national team.
As is well known Petkovic a few days ago made an agreement with the Swiss Football Federation to take the helm of their team Otmar Hitzfield after World Cup in Brazil, and Lotito did not want to wait until June to replace the coach.
"We have had contact with the President of the Italian Football Federation, who was acquainted with the situation around Petkovic, but we did not negotiated with Lazio. What I can confirm is that we did not broken any rules," said the president of the Swiss Football Association Peter Gillieron.
Lotito has already found a replacement for Petkovic, and tomorrow will take the helm of the Roman team Edoardo Reja, who previously coached Lazio. Reja will lead Lazio to the end of the season for 400,000 euros, and if win the European league or through Serie A wins new placement in Europe, Lotito will offer him an extension of cooperation.
