Roma state they will not sell Strootman to Manchester United
Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini has stated the club will not be selling Dutchman Kevin Strootman to Manchester United in January

Strootman has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester ever since former Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal took over at Manchester United this summer, despite the fact he is currently recovering from a serious knee injury.

Roma have worked hard to get the former PSV and Utrecht midfielder back to full fitness and Sabatini told a press conference that Strootman will not be leaving the club.

Sabatini said, Man United wants Strootman? Could be their idea, but we want to keep Kevin. He’s important player for us”

“He is an extraordinary player, and these rumours have been based on the desires of other clubs. We want to keep him, he is our point of strength. We hope to see him back in the field with all his powers. He played an exemplary role last season.”

Strootman is reportedly valued at €40 million, and has also been linked to French giants PSG.
