La Liga outfit Malaga have signed central defender Egor Filipenko from Belarusian club BATE Borisov
The 26 year old is club’s first January signing and will sign a two and a half year deal at La Rosaleda.
This is what Filipenko had to say about his move to Spain, “I always dreamed of playing in Spain and my objective now is to get in good physical shape and help the team gain more points,” he told the club’s official website.
“When I received the proposal from Malaga I was pleased and told my agent I’d only be talking to this team.
“With regard to any other offers, I’m here now and that’s all that matters. The conditions are perfect and everything is set up to enjoy sport and training sessions.
“I’ll certainly be learning Spanish in order to better communicate with the team,”
The defender made more than 80 league appearances for the club first on loan and then signing
permanently.
