Van Gaal announces Provisional Netherlands World Cup squad
Louis van Gaal has announced his 30-man provisional Netherlands squad for this summers World Cup

Unsurprisingly big names such as Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder, and Klaas jan Huntelaar were all named in the squad, alongside youngsters such as Terence Kongolo, Memphis Depay and Jean Paul Boetius.

PSG right back Gregory van der Wiel was a shock omission, while Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk, Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel, and Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen also miss out.

The full squad is:

Goalkeepers: Tim Krul, Jasper Cillessen, Jeroen Zoet, Michael Vorm

Defenders: Daley Blind, Joel Veltman, Paul Verhaegh, Karim Rekik, Daryl Janmaat, Terence Kongolo, Stefan de Vrij, Bruno Martins Indi, Patrick van Aanholt, Ron Vlaar

Midfielders: Leroy Fer, Jordy Clasie, Jonathan de Guzman, Wesley Sneijder, Rafael van der Vaart, Tonny Vilhena, Georginio Wijnaldum, Nigel de Jong

Attackers: Klaas jan Huntelaar, Jean Paul Boetius, Quincy Promes, Robin van Persie, Memphis Depay, Dirk Kuyt, Jeremain Lens, Arjen Robben
